Pencil Nebula NGC 2736

C-18 with ST-2000 CCD
This a a very low contrast
object compared to the much larger Northern
Hemisphere equivalent,
NGC 6992, the Veil Nebula in Cygnus. The Pencil Nebula is a
faint part of the Gum
Nebula.
South is up.
